RUDI

Rural Urban Distribution Initiative, social enterprise owned and managed by small-scale women farmers, has twin objectives; nutrition, food & income to farmers through improving value chains - producers to consumers directly. This will enhance the quality, capacity and efficiency of production through the use of better technology. Eventually it will result in scaling up the profit margins by way of bulk procurement and a well-organized sales and distribution network.
OBJECTIVES

  • 1. To provide multiple employment opportunities to the rural women through involvement in procurement, processing, packaging, marketing and management
  • 2. To rotate scarce rural capital within the villages, thereby strengthen the rural economy
  • 3. To make available products and goods of regular use to the rural consumers at affordable price
  • 4. To provide direct market linkage to the small and marginal farmers and other rural producer groups.

Kamla

Kamala is proposing satiability of farmers, needy women, nutrition for food and go-green activities. Aims to make women empowerment with traditional actives in natural manner.Renowned environmentalist of India Dr. Kamla Chowdhary, who supported SEWA’s Natural Resource Management campaign, donated her land in Ahmedabad.SEWA decided to use this land for environmental education and awareness of urban citizens, children and SEWA members. We all in the urban areas, in cities experience. The adverse effects of climate change, heat wave, floods, pollution. How it also affects the farmers in the rural areas as well
